Chemical Composition and Physicochemical Analysis of Opuntia dillenii Extracts Grown in Morocco

The chemical composition and physicochemical properties of hexane ethyl acetate extracts skin, juice, seeds Opuntia dillenii fruit collected from three Moroccan regions (Oujda, Nador, Essaouira) were studied. study revealed that the seed oil presented highest yield 13.12%, followed by skin fraction (1.77%) juice extract (0.49%). evaluation fatty acid compositions using GC-MS analysis presence linoleic as a dominating unsaturated with value 72.39%, palmitic acid, oleic stearic in all localities. Otherwise, Oujda locality was richer margaric (37.41%), Essaouira (10.7%) (6.18%). However, campesterol detected only trace extract. O. oils such value, peroxide ester pH saponification density, refractive index found to be good agreement quality criteria for pure fresh oils. In addition, principal component (PCA) hierarchical cluster (HCA) implemented compare difference different extracts.
